Visit of a Delegation from the Faculty of Science to the Cairo International Book Fair

A delegation of students from the Faculty of Science visited the Cairo International Book Fair under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Tarek Ali, President of Beni Suef University; Prof. Dr. Hamada Mohamed Mahmoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; and Prof. Dr. Wael Nabil Hozien, Dean of the Faculty of Science.
The Faculty organized this student visit as part of its commitment to fostering students’ cultural and intellectual awareness, as well as promoting a strong reading culture and encouraging continuous learning.
The visit was supervised by:
• Dr. Aya Ibrahim Taghyan – Lecturer, Department of Botany and Microbiology
• Mr. Ahmed Ibrahim Hussein Makhlouf – Director of Youth Welfare at the Faculty of Science
A total of 48 male and female students from various departments of the Faculty participated in the visit.
In line with the Dean’s directives, students were keen to explore the pavilions of various ministries and state institutions, most notably the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Interior, and the Administrative Control Authority, in addition to several other governmental entities. This contributed to enhancing their awareness of the role of state institutions and provided insights into the achievements of the Egyptian state in recent years, thereby fostering national awareness and reinforcing values of belonging.
The visit aimed to provide students with the opportunity to explore the latest scientific and cultural publications, while encouraging them to develop research skills and self-directed learning, supporting the educational process and contributing to the development of a well-rounded university student.
Prof. Dr. Wael Nabil Hozien emphasized the Faculty’s commitment to supporting student activities that enhance students’ cultural and intellectual awareness and promote the integration of the educational process both inside and outside the classroom.
