Establishment of a Scientific Research Support Unit at the Faculty of Science

As part of the Faculty of Science at Beni Suef University’s commitment to advancing its research ecosystem, enhancing opportunities to secure funded research projects, and increasing high-quality scientific publications, a Scientific Research Support Unit has been established to provide comprehensive support to faculty members, teaching assistants, and researchers.

Prof. Dr. Wael Hozien, Dean of the Faculty, stated that the Unit aims to develop research capabilities, encourage high-impact international publishing, support patents and innovations, and strengthen scientific collaboration with research and industrial institutions at both the local and international levels.

The Unit also seeks to create a stimulating research environment that contributes to the production of advanced scientific knowledge and its application in serving society and industry, thereby reinforcing the Faculty of Science’s position as a leading academic and research hub.

The Scientific Research Support Unit includes a distinguished group of faculty members with extensive expertise in research projects and international publishing:

Following its formation, the Unit’s management convened on Tuesday, January 27, to discuss its action plan for the upcoming period. The Dean of the Faculty opened the meeting by congratulating Prof. Dr. Ahmed Zayed on his appointment as Director of the Unit, as well as extending his congratulations to all members. He encouraged them to dedicate their efforts and share their expertise to support colleagues and achieve the Unit’s objectives, expressing hope that the initiative will contribute significantly to advancing research and innovation at the Faculty of Science, Beni Suef University.
