Conclusion of the Training Program on Occupational Safety, Health, and Sustainable Development at the Faculty of Science

Under the patronage of:

And under the supervision of:
• Prof. Dr. Wael Nabil Hazein – Dean of the Faculty of Science
• Prof. Dr. Abdel Azim Shaaban – Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development

The Faculty of Science, Beni Suef University, in collaboration with Titan Cement Company, concluded the activities of its training program aimed at equipping students with practical skills in occupational safety and health, environmental management systems, and sustainable development.

The closing ceremony featured the honoring of representatives from Titan Cement in recognition of their valuable contribution to the program’s success, including:
Mr. Amr Reda – CEO of Titan Egypt Group
Eng. Hossam Taha – Director of Beni Suef Cement Plant
Capt. Tony Osman – Advisor to the CEO for External Relations
Eng. Yasser Saeed Abdel Aziz – Regional Director of Occupational Safety and Health, Eastern Mediterranean
Eng. Mohamed El-Souqi – Occupational Safety and Health Consultant, Titan Cement

During the ceremony, it was announced that 20 outstanding students had been selected, based on their performance in the final assessment, to advance to the second stage of hands-on field training at Titan Cement’s Beni Suef plant.

Prof. Dr. Wael Hazein, Dean of the Faculty, emphasized that this collaboration serves as a model partnership between academia and industry, helping students connect with the labor market and acquire applied skills that enhance their future employability. He reaffirmed the faculty’s commitment to sustaining partnerships with leading industrial institutions for the benefit of both students and society.

He added that this initiative reflects the faculty administration’s dedication to shaping well-rounded students—not only academically proficient but also equipped with the skills and competencies needed to contribute effectively to the nation’s development in the future.
